This was the first
tima Dante and me did a longer trek in the Himalayas. Even if
the weather did not cooperate fully, it
stays in my memory as one of the finest I have done.
It was ment to be an acklimatizing trek, leading to larger
adventures, but incoming bad weather stopped that.
However, our first journey to Leh and the Himalayas wasn't
to be our last. We gladly returned several times.
The
climb over the pass Stok La (4846m), with more than 15kg
in the backpack, was pretty tough...
