There's
no question, that regular meditation can help a person feeling better,
finding herself, developing faster. But what is meditation then, can
there even be some risks involved? Many probably see meditation as
sitting in a lotus position, going deep within, seeing and experiencing things.
The concept of meditation is really a state of mind, when the timeflow
goes faster. This can be achieved when you are highly focused in
something you are doing. It can be building something, solving a
theoretical problem or simular. Time flies, and then you were there, in
the right state. Many of our great thinkers have used dedicated
meditation to solve problems. Isaac Newton is one example of many.

Step
one is trying to find awarness control. Our thought tend to fly around
in all places. Mobile phones, social media etc. aren't a friend of ours
in this case. My advice is, a good while before meditating, disconnect
all that, even tv etc. Relax, maybe listen to some calm music, or just
stay in silence. Achieving a good awarness control takes a long time.
Then you need to find something to meditate upon. Here you should,
honestly, start thinking about why you want to meditate. What is the
purpose? Is it to be great and special? Is it to achieve abilitys,
powers? Or to develop faster as a person? Or to achieve better
qualities as a person, get rid of the bad ones? The reader must decide
what subject is the morally most preferable (or if you might find
others). If you, for example, want to improve your qualities, then
visualize yourself as you want to be. Don't focus on the bad qualities,
always on the good
You should feel relaxed while meditating. Sometimes
during the focusing, the meditation, you can float into a stillness.
The "voice of silence" can enter. In tis case you can compare with
standing by a highly trafficed road, trying to hear what someone says
on the other side of the road. Turn off the traffic, and you might hear!
But
at the same time, don't have any expectations. Expectations have a
tendency to block things. Just observe what happens, take
everything with equanimity. If possible, try meditating regularly
and at the same time.
But what about risks, are
there any? I have listen to several people within the "New Age",
resolutely claiming that nothing bad can happen. (safe and effective 😀)
But I have also met a number of people, who litterally destroyed their
lives by exaggerated meditating. A few of them are now incapable of
living a normal life. Even if these are extreme cases, it should be
mentioned.
What works perfectly for one, can be
unsuitable for another. We are diffent on energy level, so you need to
be observant. Normal regular meditation, say 10-15min per day, hardly
should be a problem for anyone. But do not exaggurate is my advice.
Those who need to be extra careful, are those who already have started
to open up to some degree. Observe dream symbols during sleep.
Another
good advice could be, do not meditate on your chakra points. This can
result in a stronger flow of energy there, before you are sufficiently
clean. That can, in its turn, result in bad qualities getting stronger.
The meditation gives the opposite result fom what you wanted.
