|
Synshorn is found at Bygdin, in the southeastern corner
of Jotunheimen. There is a via ferrata from this side, but
I will take the normal route up. I'm arriving early, to be
able to drive home aftewards. Starting height is 1060m.
|
At 1200m there is a water crossing, efter that you take the path to the right. Then just follow the trail. |
To the west, the lake Heimre Fagerdalstjernet.

|
Up on 1300m+. The lake Bygdin below and the peak
Bitihorn behind to the left. One thing that makes this peak
stand out a little, is that it's surrounded by beautiful lakes.
|
Arriving at the lower summit, 1455m. A small Norwegian
flag is placed on top of the cairn. To the southeast is the
lake Vinstre |
Looking back at the lower summit, on the way to the main. |

|
Arriving at the main summit, 1475m. Here you can see
Rasletinden, 2105m, to the north.
|
And
here's a look to the west. I am really pleased with everything, cimbed
4 peaks in 4 days, all in perfect weather., all according to plan. Now
it's just a descent to the car and almost 10 hours to my home.
