This is how
Tekslehogget looks,
from the road between Prestfoss and Lyngdal. |
Tekslehogget
lies just outside the higher peaks, close to Prestfoss in Norway. This
time I take my Honda, for a two
day trip in the mountains.
After checking in at the campsite,
a few km away, I park my bike at
Tekslehogget parking
place. (Tollroad, 50Nkr cash) |
From
the parking place (alt.490m) you follow a small road 500m. Then take
the path, just follow it to the summit. After reaching the 600m level
you
start getting some nice views.

Up
on the rocky part, around. The first summit, in this
picture, has a box
with a summit book. But this summit
isn't the highest. The third and
last summit is. |
It's up
here it gets really nice! |
To the northwest you can see the highest
part of Andersnatten. Behind it, parts of Norefjell.
|
|
|
|
To the
southwest, Blefjell. |
But
the real reward of this peak are the dramatic cliffs. More than 200
altitude meters, at some places completely vertical. Even the path
leading up here is fairly steep, but you don't need to use the
hands. |
This
gets even more clear, when seen from some altitude.

Vertical
picture from the summit. If you can get vertigo,
don't stick your head
out here. Well, maybe you shouldn't
do it anyway... |
