Furgler
seen from the cableway station Lazid, 2346m. The cableway starts from
the village Serfaus, south of Landeck in Tyrolia.

Maria on the way up. We choose
to climb the path from southwest. |

The
path rises steeper towards the lake Tieftalsee. |
Pause
on a beautiful spot by Tieftalsee, just below 2800m.

The path goes around the lake, before
climbing towards the summit. This part is
relatively steep, but it's possible to walk normally almost all the way. |
The views from Furgler are
magnificent. Here is a look to the north, towards Lechtaler alpen. |

The
descent to the northeast is steeper, and demands some scambling. But
it's a very nice path to walk. |
A bit further down there is a
shorter steep passage, secured with a rope.

After a
while we are down to the saddlepoint Furglerjoch, at 2748m. From here
and down te path is easy.

At the
second lake of today, Furglersee. Ötztaler alpen in the background.

The first nice meeting of today. A small
marmot peekes at us, wondering when
we will leave so he can be left alone. |
The
second nice meeting of today, this time with an Alpine Apollo. A very
beautiful (and protected) butterfly.
