We
start the walk from Krinnenkopf cableway station in
Stubaital, 2100m.
To begin with it's mostly a horizontal
hike on a broad path.
|
After
a while the actual climb
begins, first up towards the
base of Niederer Burgstall. |
Upwards,
upwards...
|
|
|
|
A
pause at 2400m altitude. Schlicker Seespitze in the
background. |
After
one more climb we reach a flatter part over a stone
field, up towards
the pass Seejöchl. |
At
Seejöchl, 2518m. From here
the path to the actual peak begins.
|
|
|
|
The last 200 altitude meters are more
demanding, and
requires constant concentration. Stones can start rolling
and falling down at any time,
dangerous for those below. |
A number of tricky passages where one would
normally
see secured wires, we have to manage without. |
The
summit has a fairly small space but the view is magnificent.

"Moonlandshape"
to the north,
where the peaks of
Kalkkögel stretches towards Innsbruck. |
