Schlicker Seespitze 2804m

We start the walk from Krinnenkopf cableway station in Stubaital, 2100m. To begin with it's mostly a horizontal hike on a broad path. (larger picture)

After a while the actual climb begins, first up towards the base of Niederer Burgstall. (larger picture)

Upwards, upwards... (larger picture)

A pause at 2400m altitude. Schlicker Seespitze in the background. (larger picture)

After one more climb we reach a flatter part over a stone field, up towards the pass Seejöchl. (larger picture)

At Seejöchl, 2518m. From here the path to the actual peak begins. (larger picture)

The last 200 altitude meters are more demanding, and requires constant concentration. Stones can start rolling and falling down at any time, dangerous for those below. (larger picture)

A number of tricky passages where one would normally see secured wires, we have to manage without. (larger picture)

The top has a fairly small space but the view is magnificent. (larger picture)
